At the beginning of the meeting, Ms. Tian Lai, Director of International Exchange of the Cooperation and Development Department of SCIMEA, introduced the general overview, functions and essential projects of the association.

Consul General Mr. Karel Srol gave high recognition to SCIMEA's rich and practical service functions and professionalism in international exchange and cooperation, as well as to the medical and R&D level in Sichuan Province. He also introduced in detail the general situation of the Czech Republic and the cooperation opportunities in the field of health care.

Mr. Mao Moyu introduced the general overview, medical education and scientific research of the West China Hospital of Sichuan University in detail. Following, Prof. Zhang Fengying briefly introduced several international academic exchange activities between West China Hospital and other countries, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, and the Czech Republic. The international cooperation of "nursing programs" was emphasized, including the export of nursing programs and the collaboration between nursing schools, in the hope of learning advanced concepts and technologies through international exchange programs, as well as to promote traditional Chinese medicine internationally.

Through a video, Mr. Wanpeng briefly introduced the development history, innovation and achievements of Chengdu University Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, as well as its international exchange and cooperation with the UK, Japan, Malaysia, the Czech Republic and other countries. In the international exchange and cooperation with the Czech Republic, he hoped that the hospital could expand the field of cooperation with the Czech Republic and carry out practical cooperation in traditional Chinese medicine education and research, to create a connection between Sichuan Province and the Czech Republic through traditional Chinese medicine and boost the exchange and cooperation between the two sides to a new level.

In the discussion session, Consul General Mr. Karel Srol said that the meeting is an excellent start to promote the international medical cooperation between the Czech Republic and Sichuan Province and to establish long-term international cooperation through online and offline academic exchanges and to improve the level of medical development in both countries jointly.

Secretary-General Ms. Zhang Mengfan stated that SCIMEA would take this as a starting point and give full play to its advantages through more intercommunication and integration, integrate all resources, open up channels for overseas medical centers, assist the development of medical exchanges between China and abroad. And at the same time, strengthen the exchange and cooperation with the Czech Republic, and develop synergistically in international cooperation, scientific research, and result transformation.
