Prof. Lu You from West China Hospital, Sichuan University delivers a speech.

In his speech, Prof. Lu You said that recent innovations in the field of radiotherapy technology have led to a reversal of the previous “B (Bench side) to B (Bedside)” model to a new "B (Bedside) to B (Bench side)" model. This shift makes it necessary for teams in different specialties to intensify cutting-edge research, basic research, and interdisciplinary research in order to effectively promote the faster development of radiotherapy.

Prof. Zhang Zhen from Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center delivers a speech online.

Prof. Zhang Zhen firstly congratulated the 130th anniversary of the founding of West China Hospital, and mentioned that the radiotherapy in China has been developing rapidly in recent years, and the whole oncology discipline has been progressing continuously. She hoped that with the help of this conference, she could discuss the frontier fields with domestic and foreign experts in the field of oncology and radiotherapy, and join hands to contribute to the development of the overall treatment level of precision radiotherapy for tumors.

Prof. Chen Nianyong of West China Hospital, Sichuan University delivers a speech.

In his speech, Prof. Chen Nianyong hoped that the radiotherapy can develop into the direction of being more precise and intelligent in the future, and continue to deliver the advanced technology to the grassroots hospitals; the radiotherapy and other tumor treatments should be combined to improve the survival rate of tumor patients; at the same time, the popularization of radiotherapy should be strengthened to let more patients receive radiotherapy; and it should strive to train more excellent young radiotherapy doctors and talents.
